Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The risk of meningitis is higher in children, in alcohol abusers, in patients that have chronic ear infections, in patients with head injuries, in patients that have had the spleen removed,or that are using corticosteroids.
So you are not in high risk to have meningitis only because your grlfriend had it months ago.
You have the risk for meningitis only if your girlfirend had meningitis from meningococcus bacteria.
However , you have to consult your doctor or a neurologist for the headache, and perform a physical examination and some blood tests.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
