What Do Dark Spots On The Bottom Of The Feet Indicate?

I have tiny dark spots at the bottoms of my feet, right at the arches. They re sometimes painful with vigirous long distance walking, and seem to enlarge the more I walk. The sensation is that of a (stretching-pulling of the sking when I walk, right at the center of the arch) Any way to prevent/get rid of this, and have my skin even out in color again?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to plantar warts. They are usually painful and may develop singly or in clusters. I recommend using over-the-counter wart treatments come in several forms (gel, ointments or pads) and contain salicylic acid as the active ingredient. If the symptoms continue I recommend a visit to a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
