Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Your symptoms indicate an irritable bowel. This could be due to
inflammatory bowel disease.
Would you clarify a few things for me, please?
*do you smoke or consume alcohol?
*how old are you?
*any recent illness or travel before the symptoms started.
*any change in diet?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
*do you have
abdominal pain before the
diarrhea or after your meals?
*what colour are your stools?
I recommend :
-a physician consult, a gastroenterologist opinion.
-an
endoscopy &
colonoscopy to check for any lesions or inflammation.
-blood tests (
complete blood count, kidney & liver function tests, electrolytes)
-urine analysis
-stool analysis
Based on these a diagnosis can be made & treatment initiatiated.
In the meantime:
-stay well hydrated
-avoid too much fiber in diet
-Have smaller but frequent meals (every 3 hrs)
-chew food well
-avoid refined grains and processed foods
-stick to whole grains and home made food.
-avoid caffeinated, sugary and carbonated beverages and spicy, fatty, oily food.
-quit
smoking (a common culprit in stomach issues).
I urge you to seek medical attention right away.
Hope this helps and you feel better.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with
Wish you good health.
