Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My 10 year old son has a bumpy rash all over both elbows. He also has mollescum (spelling?) on his knees and lower legs. His pediatrician has told us not to worry about the mollescum and that it will go away in time. It is so unsightly and we don t want him feeling he has to hide his legs with all of his sport activity. Not sure if his elbows are now the mollescum as well or possibly psoriasis (which I have). Poor kiddo. I think we need to see a specialist.

What Do Bumpy Rashes On The Elbows Indicate?
Hello, It can be a molluscum contagiosum. As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
