What Do Blood Clots In The Uterus Indicate?

Hi Doc...I m Jennifer aged 24, I ve been birth controlling since 2015_i ve went through all Types of birth control 1stly Depo, Null & lastly Microval pill & non of the above was ever good to me instead I d be bleeding for 36weeks & the least advise from the hospital what I should stop preventing due to my body system does not allow containing all these artificial prevents On Saturday 25th March 2017 I had a uterus scan showing blood clots...caused from what I do not know... So I was prescribed some 18Tranic to stop the bleeding & it has not stopped even on this day as I ve taken all my pills as instructed....the clots just keep coming out every now & then I m bloody oxing....am I in danger...should I be worrrried or maybe it s just clots perhaps Ending Out ?????? & I AM NOT PREGNANT & I AIN T Got Any CHiLDRens

Hi, I think you should go for evaluation first. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done to find out if there is any other cause of heavy bleeding. If anything is abnormal, it can be treated. Blood clots in uterus is not a major issue. You can take tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. If it doesn't work, you may need a high dose of progesterone to stop the bleeding. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
