What Do Blood Clots In The Lungs Indicate?

I had perfect blood count. I broke my hip and even tho I had been in perfect health I was thrown against a huge stone and broke my femoral. I was operated on 30 hrs later and ended up w/blood clots in my lungs, in ICU, blood transfusion, filter in left groin. I am still (JUL 22 happened) on blood thinners and still filter in groin. I feel super and want to get off blood thinners and filter removed..I get no answers; who do I ask besides my Dr, cardiologist, pulmonologist??? Still can not get yes or no if blood closts are gone and Now said had infectious disease in lungs, had RT Gold test etc all came back negative, feel good and yet made apt for me to see infectious disease Dr!!! HELP

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to history you are having blood clot problem in your long lung that was induced by fracture and prolonged bed rest. Low molecular weight heparin and anticoagulant orally can be used for that. 2D echocardiography and MRI angiography will be helpful to see whether clot is present or not. Now you are being tested for lung infection so kindly let me know whether do you have any fever high CRP values, chest pain, dyspnea like complain if present. Provide your reports and medication history for giving further comment. Consult pulmonologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
