Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to the doctor due to left side pain, my vagina becoming itchy only when I pee and a strong oder. After about five days my side pain went away but I still had the vaginal itch. I was told to get an x-ray done and my doctor mentioned a dot in my kidney and said it could be a kidney stone with me having side pain so he wanted me to get a cat scan but they weren t able to find anything so they ordered an ultra sound. The ultra sound came back with 4 black dots lined up against my ovaries. My urine sample came back with with blood in my urine and no traces of bacteria. I was diagnosed with irritable bowl syndrome at first and was given a prescription then a couple days later I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. They never came back to tell me the black dots in the ultrasound were nothing to worry about as well as the x-ray. I m worried there is more to it and I m not sure if I should get more tests done.
Abnormal vaginal bleeding requires a pelvic sonogram to evaluate the cause of the bleeding... Above Image: Pelvic Sonogram on the left shows small black spots along the outer margin of the ovary, there are multiple small benign ovarian cysts. The image on the right shows a tubo-ovarian abscess.
