What Do An ESR Level Of 105 And Shoulder Pain Indicate?
I m 60 year old and diabetic also had gone through both knee replacement 4 years back...I have got through ESR checked and it results 105 which is on higher side..my diabetes is also on little higher side...These days I am also suffering from pain in shoulders....Please tell what is the effect of increased ESR in my body and how does it cure
Hello Let me explain few things about ESR ( normal 2-10 mm of 1st hour). It is assumed that when ESR increases , there is anywhere any infection in the body . This was previously recognized that raised ESR is due to any infection but now a days many doctors don't believe in this reading . As you mentioned that your ESR is 105 mm it may be due to some chronic or acute infection in shoulder joint ( as you stated that there is pain in shoulder joint). While diabetes is not any infectious disease , so this is nothing to do with ESR reading. Increased ESR may be due to some disease but in itself increased level of ESR don't causes any bad impact over body. Hope this information will be useful for you.
