1. As the problem has resurfaced and continued with acute symptoms, thus
take an opinion of Gastroenterologist or medicine specialist [Cardiologist] who might ask for necessary investigation after a physical examination.
PS. As I haven't examined you directly, thus presently all the symptoms described attributes towards
Acid reflux [GERD] since upper abdominal pain/discomfort, symptoms increases on lying down and more at night points in favor of the same.
2. because acid reflux do cause
asthma like symptoms [wheezing/dry cough] and mimic
heart disease [chest pain/discomfort] thus promptly call a doctor, till then
. Do not lie down immediately after food.
. Head high position at night (during sleep)
. Take small nonbulky meals
. Bland and
soft diet, avoid chilies and sour or fatty food
. Stop irritant drugs (pain killers)
