Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Abdominal Pain And Burning Sensation In The Anus Indicate?
I m experiencing central lower and right center abdominal pain and what little bowel movements I ve had are very painful, both pushing on abs and burning sensation in the anus 6 day s after appendectomy, should I go back to the E.R.? I just began a stool softener (prescribed) today to attempt to relieve, I had one movement that didn t hurt much today
As you already underwent appendectomy and after that you passed stool, it is a good sign. Do you have nausea, vomiting?
Please continue with stool softner and apply Anovate ointment at anus locally. Continue and complete course of antibiotics as advised.
If abdominal pain is not bearable, then go to E. R. (Emergency Room) and do ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. I will suggest you to follow up with detailed history or consult with surgeon for detailed examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale
