What Disorder Stops Organs From Growing Prematurely?

When I was around 8, I started getting UTIs every 2 to 3 months, my doctor thought then it was because my bladder stopped growing prematurely. I need to try and explain this to my new doctor, but I forgot what it's called when organs stop growing prematurely. Can you tell me?

Hello,

Premature infants have organs that are smaller than those of full-term newborns.

However, premature infants' organs get larger as they feed and grow in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

In an otherwise healthy child, I am unaware that any of their organs(including bladder) stop growing prematurely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take Care

Regards,
Dr Arnold Zedd, Pediatrician
