What Disease Causes Rashes Similar To Measles?

I thought my son recently had the measles. Three days of fever, then three days of rash and a few days fading away. The rash looked exactly as measles would. However my relative's son came out in a rash today and the doctor said it was Adimo virus. I've never heard of it and can't find it on the internet either. what is it and is it likely that is what my son had?

It could be any viral exanthematous illness. By what you quote - the possibilities are Hand Foot Mouth disease/ Chicken pox/ any other trivial viral exanthem or even adenoviral illness.
I suggest you use calamine lotion as it gives results along with oral anti allergic like Hydroxyziine or Cetrizine.
It might be the same what your son had or not. It can be ascertained after seeing both kids images of rash. But whatever it is if he is active and playful, o not worry.
