What Cuases Vaginal Spotting After A Dilation And Curettage Procedure?

hi I have undergone D&C about 15 months ago.After that I have been getting periods regularly but spotting before my period for2-3 days. I have undergone all the test like thyroid, blood and uterus check and everything is normal except the fact that I have hormonal imbalance, so recently doctor suggested taking Deviry 10 mg tablet for 21 days after my period ends. Today is my 13 day I am currently on these tablets and experiencing little spotting since day 3, so went to doctor again she told me to have Tranexamic Acid tablet 500mg for three times a day, currently along with Deviry. But very light spotting still continues. I am confused what to do or not. When will spotting finally stop and why very light spotting is occurring when I m taking Deviry Would there be any problem in conceiving in future ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the spotting is definitely in relation with hormonal imbalance in absence of any vaginal infection.
* So far as conceiving is concerned, I recommend to not to try to conceive after the last dose of Deviry till 3 months.
* My guidelines at present

- Maintain hydration.
- Do continue medications as per the prescription of your doc.
- Keep genital hygiene at its best.

Would like to follow up with ultrasound or CT report for further management guidelines.
