Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Course Of Treatment Should Be Done For The Redness In The Stomach As Shown During Endoscopy?
I was diagnosed via endoscopy several years ago with a lot of inflammation in the stomach. I was told at the time that unless I had symptoms, it would not be treated. Very recently while looking for the cause of a chronic cough, I had another endoscopy, and the doctor once again said I had a lot of redness in my stomach. No other issues were found. Since apparently this is a chronic condition for me, what are my options for treating? I don t want to run the risk of stomach cancer because of untreated gastritis.
Your doctors are right unless you have symptoms or complain, no need to take medication, but if you are concerned about your condition, you may take Nexium tab or Zantac tab which helps in reducing this inflammation
