What Could White Stuff In The Mouth And Red Bumps On Legs Of A Toddler Indicate?

Hi: I do not know if one thing has to do with the other but my 2 year old has white stuff on her mouth and lately has not been eaten well. Today we also discover some little red bumps on her legs like if it was little bites, what could it be? And what do I do?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC...

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain the white stuff in mouth of your toddler can be yeast infection known as THRUSH which is caused by Candida Albicans and it is caused when the immunity becomes low like some disease or if the toddler is being given any medication like antibiotics for any infection..
It leads to formation of cheesy white patches over the tongue, inner lips, cheeks and the child may also have cracked corners of mouth..
You should consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated and the doctor may prescribe antifungal medicine in the form of oral drops or paint to be applied on the skin inside mouth..
Adding probiotics like Yoghurt in diet can also help in faster clearing of the white patches..

The red dots on the legs can be mosquito bites or allergy to some skin product or can also be an indication of certain diseases and conditions like Folliculitis, chicken pox etc and a clinical evaluation is a must for correct diagnosis and planning treatment and a Paediatrician can do it well by clinically checking your daughter..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
