What Could Vomiting With Breathing Difficulties Indicate?

My 4 year old daughter began fainting right before vomiting a year ago. For a few seconds she also stops breathing, and when she regains consciousness she immediately throws up. I was referred to a neurologist, but he dismissed it as nothing. I am currently living in Mexico City and don't know where to go for help. Is this something that is common?

Hello,

Fainting, loss of consciousness, stop breathing, regain consciousness and vomiting symptoms are suggestive of seizure disorder or petitmal epilepsy. Other possibilities are anxiety with hyperventilation syndrome or meningitis et cetera.

Until complete examination it is difficult to say what it is, please consult neurophysician he may advice brain scan and lumbar puncture and treat her accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
