What Could Tender Jaws And Lips Indicate?

On the right side of my mouth I have a long song on my lip above my gum. My jaw is also sore and underneath it is very tender on that same side. I am supposed to get on a plane in the morning to fly to America from London. Should I see a doctor first?

Thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. The soreness on the lips could be a traumati ulcer or aphthous ulcer. The pain on the lower jaw border or below it could be because of the inflamed regional lymphnode secondary to the soreness in the lip..if the soreness is over the gums it cal also be because of a tooth infection. Consult your oral physician to rule out these conditions...you can take topical anesthetic and analgesics for the ulcer..if it is because of tooth infection you have to take a course of antibiotics. i hope my answer will help you.take care.
