What Could Swollen Lymph Nodes With Ear Pain Suggest?

Hi,I've been fighting with this for 3 days now.I thought it was just allergies that landed in my chest, but I'm congested in my head and chest with both ears hurting and throbbing. My lymph nodes are swollen. I've been taking amoxicilling 500 2x/day. My ears are really bothering me...what could this be?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems that you have got an Upper respiratory tract infection and it is causing congestion and throbbing in ears is due to infection extending from chest and throat to ears leading to ear infection as well as swollen lymph nodes is due to infection..
I would suggest you to continue taking amoxicillin and along with it you can also take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naproxen, take decongestant like Phyenylephrine and mucolytics like Ambroxol, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
Avoid chilled and spicy foods and also use antibiotic ear drops..
Gradually as the infection will subside the ears will also start feeling well..

Hope this informations helps..

Thanks and regards.
