i have had problems with my right thumbnail for many months. the nail exhibited a brown vertical line in the center of the nail. it became infected, turning bright green. the thumbnail was removed and the bed was treated with topical and other types of oral medications. the fungus cleared up and the nail grew back over many months. and now.... I have a swollen, bulging nail plate and nail bed. the nail has grown back but not entirely to its normal end. and my thumb has always been swollen and very sensitive and tingling regularly since it grew back. it still has a brown vertical stripe down the middle of the nail. I also had a biopsy that was ranked negative. there is also a rounded bulge on the right side of the brown stripe that is very tender to the touch. this swelling is found in the nail bed and almost globe shaped. the tissue in the nail bed is quite swollen as well as the thumb. help. the
