What Could Sudden Racing Heartbeat At Night Indicate?
Hi, my name is Ali. I am 23 years old. A few days ago, at mid night I felt my heat beat was very fast. I could not get up. I was so afraid. I think that it heart attack but when I went to hospital, the ECG report was absolutely normal. I didn t understand that what was happened. Plz advice me that how can I prevent myself from such shok again?

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. if it was your first episode of sudden raised heart beats then i would say please be calm during the episode and observe the each symptom you get during the episode. because it will be difficult to come at a diagnosis in first episode.
if you feel raised heart beat, sweating, anxiety along with next time then you should be screened for few things like pheochromocytoma, early onset hypertension, early onset diabetes and raised cholesterol in blood. if you have positive family history for any of the above then please mention during your visit to physician. most of the time it may be sudden anxiety or panic attack for which also you should visit your doctor.
