What Could Sudden Brownish Mucus Anal Discharge Indicate?

I was peeing in front of the toilet when I thought I needed to pass gas, but instead a brownish mucus like glob fell out of my anus. I tried sitting down but could not pass anything else. I have entirely no other symptoms. I m a twenty year old man and completely healthy.

Thanks for writing to HCM.
I understand your concern that you have passed a brownish mucus like glob from your anus.
It could be due to internal hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids is usually a painless disorder. It might have bled a little before and caused abrasions in the mucosa. Later on, it might have mixed with mucus and turned into brownish color and dislodged out of your anus.
Nothing much to worry. Just see to it that you are not constipated and keep your blood pressures under check. You can get examined once from a Proctologist/Surgeon as to assess any abnormality that might require treatment.
