I have gotten these bumps, that are like bubbles on my pubic area for a while now- even before I was sexually active. I never thought anything of them before I was sexually active. They go away but there s always like a scar after, loose skin. I just got another one and it s been a while since I ve had one, like after I started becoming sexually active they stopped appearing. I just popped it with a needle and all it did was bleed... What is it? I m really scared. Sometimes they are sore but this one didn t hurt at all, not even when I put a needle in it
Hi. As per your case history you are having folliculitis on pubic region. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the lesions with nails or with needle as it will worsen the condition. 2. Don't shave the pubic hair with razor or apply any hair removal cream. Use a trimmer instead. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on lesions. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
