What Could Redness And Small Bumps Like Pimples Next To Nipple Indicate?

I have a redness and small bump lie a pimple right next to my nipple on the left side. I had a mammogram in Oct. of last year and all was fine. The redness itches and is a bit tender yet I can t find any lump . The redness is an area about the size of a pencil eraser and has a couple pimple like bumps to it.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be an eczematous rash. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily along with frequent and regular application of a moisturizing cream on the entire breast for 10 days. Also, take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once daily at bedtime.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
