What Could Reactive TPHA Result Suggest?

hi! Im female...i had a lab test shows VDRL/RPR non reactive but my TPHA shows reactive...I wonder what caused this result since I dont have a history of Blood Transfusion and I never had any sexual activities since birth...please help me....im so worried and stressed about this.thank you

Hello and welcome to HCM,
VDRL/ RPR and TPHA tests are done for syphilis infection.
It is highly unlikely to have a positive TPHA ans a negative or non-reactive VDRL or RPR test.
I suggest you to get the VDRL / RPR test repeated.
Since, there is no history of sexual contact and blood transfusion, it is unlikely to contract syphilis infection.
