What Could Primary Kochs Infection From An X-ray Report Indicate?

My son had a primary complex. he is 11months old. We had treat his illness about already 2 months and his doctor said that after 2months of drinking medicine, he had to made an xray again.I have his xray result yesterday and this was written.Follow up study as compared with the previous films done in another facility on February 9, 2015 again shows reticular infiltrates in both inner lung zones, with partial confluence (but with interval regression from the previous study) in the left lung. Nodularities are also seen in both hilar regions. differential diagnoses from the above findings include pneumonia and / or primary kochs infection. what does this mean. Is my son, getting better?

Hi I did review your concern. It appears from your report that the condition of son is getting better. Primary koch can remain form of radiological finding a long time after the stopping of symtoms too as the mark on x ray may remain bt bacilli are all destroyed by the medication. Proper treatment till the end is needed to achieve destruction of all bacilli. If your son still has cough with sputum or night sweats and fever than you need to show him to doctor for evaluation of other agent or MDR TB.
I hope this helps. Wish your son the best of health and success. God bless him!
