What Could Peripherally Placed Follicles, In Follicular Study Suggest?
I had taken a follicular study. My result shows: my right ovI had taken a follicular study. My result shows: my right ovary measures 34*18*16 mms, my left ovary measures 34*26*18 mms. There is no free fluid in cul-de-sac. Bladder appears normal. The fol in my right ovary shows as MSF. The fol in left ovary shows 13*11 mms. Both ovaries show multiple peripherally placed follicles with increased central echogenic stroma. What does this mean?
1. Your repost suggest there are multiple peripherally arranged follicles with central echo-genic storm - these are features seen in the polycystic ovarian disease. 2.Right ovary shows MSF - multiple small follicle ( dominant follicle not seen) left ovary dominant follicle measuring 13x11mm. 3.But its a three day study - you have to follow the follicle which is 13x11mm for 2 more times with alternative days. 4.However the size seems to be less - average 15mm and above would be better. 5.Complete study only helps in diagnosis of follicular study. 6.No free fluids indicates - to recent rupture of follicle ( also no infection ).
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
