What Could Nasal Congestion And Swollen Throat Indicate?

Hello. I have had nasal congestion non-stop for the past three weeks. My throat was swollen for three days at the beginning of the congestion on-set, and is now swollen again; however, I have no other symptoms. I have never had allergies cause a reaction like this, and no allergy medication alleviates my symptoms. Should I go see a doctor for a diagnosis?
