dear patient i am glad you asked the question.
you are probably suffering from epidermoid cysts, inflammation around the oil producing follicles ,or may be an infection of the glands around the anal region.which may have come down in intensity, due which your pain is gone. but there is a high possibility of them increasing in size and pain in the future. so i advice you to consult a general surgeon and take the treatment to prevent recurrences.
hope that answers the question.
