General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Male 31 having irritation in throat can be due to the following reasons:
- Pharyngitis as your Doctor has suggested.
- Allergic reaction to the pollutants or something that you are eating and drinking.
- Lymphoid hyperplasia with mucosal hyperplasia.
You have been given proper treatment with Ciprodar, Histop and Otrivin nasal drops.
If there are no results after 5 days of treatment then you can go for the following:
Request your ENT Surgeon for Pharyngoscopy.
Additional treatment with an anti-inflammatory and oral steroids if you are not a diabetic person.
Povidone iodine gargles.
All these will help to resolve your issues.
Also identify the factors, foods, beverages that instigate or enhance the symptoms and stop these altogether.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
