What Could Have Made My Heart To Beat Very Hard And Fast And A Feeling That My Veins Will Burst ?
I was sitting down after having dinner not doing anything when all of a sudden my heart starts beating very hard and very fast... It almost hurt... So I just tried to take deep breaths and stay calm and after aboyr a minute ir so it finally started to slow down. My veins and stuff also felt like they were going to burst from under my skin ... I have had this happen once before but not near as bad. What could be goinf on?

Hi..please get a USG abdomen to rule out pheochromocytoma(adrenal gland tumour) since this sudden onset can be due to hyper sympathetic stimulation...get a complet cardio pulmonary testing(ECG, ECHO, chest X ray)..as it can be a mild attack of Myocardial infarction....a lighter scenario can be acute gastritis (gas) for which you can take an antacid twice in a day for 2 days to see wehter the symptoms re appear

cardiac origen if it is not relieved it requires immediate medical assistance.
it may be a sign of cardiac ischemia. you may need to get ECG, TMT, Echo ect for confermation.
other causes are anxiety, gastrichypersecretion.
