What Could Gelatin Like Bowels Suggest?

I have diverticulosis and have had several bouts of Diverticulitis over the past 5 years. I have noticed recently when I look at my bowel movements that there is like a white gelatin substance along with my feces, almost like parts of my insides or something. Any idea what it could be and if it could be something serious? Thanks so much.
