What Could Frequent Stools With Gas Trouble In Infants Suggest?

HI Doctor my baby will turn one month old on 11th of february. she has frequent stool and major gas problem. her routine stool test shows 20-25 pus cells. is it a matter of major concern? what kind of infection could this be and how could she have gotten it? please help me. thanks. pallavi

Hello,

Frequent passing stools is common in the infant but if it contains pus cell or mucous or passing more liquid stools with increased frequency need to continue Brest feeding, consult your pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
