What Could Firm Bump With Boil In Ear Causing Migraines Indicate?

I had a boil in front of my ear nearly 10 years ago...ever since I ve had a visible firm bump where the boil was. It has also increased in size lately. There is no direct pain associated with it although some annoyance. Post-boil I have experienced migraines and tension headaches sporadically, which I never had before. Any idea what this is? Is this something seen after a boil?

Hello,

Usually boilsay not cause migranous headache after healing. It may be due trigeminal neuralgia or tension headache or temporal arteritis or migraine headache.

So until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet naproxen 250mg twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
