What Could Extreme Vaginal Itchiness In A Toddler Indicate?

Hi Doctor, my daughter is 23 months old. for past 10 days she is itching her private parts and indicating that some feeling or sensation. especially in nights she cries in sleeping and itches unconciously in her private parts. she also wants someone to itch her body just before sleeping. can you tell me what can be the problem? she is very healthy fit baby without any issues.

I really appreciate your concern, certain condition are there for this symptoms of genital itching in this age (Toddler ) particularly in female one is infection and second is allergic condition could be worm infestation and condition need to be managed accordingly, conditions need to be differentiated, till the "Povidone Iodine" ointment can be applied, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
