Hello Doc,My mom is feeling sick for past 3 days. She is shivering like anything. Once the shivering start within few minutes her temperature is getting higher.Doctors over here were guessed, (not diagnosed) may be this is because of dengue. without any test they started giving tablets and injection for dengue.

Hi thanks for asking question.
For confirmation of dengue IG M detection along with CBC for platelet count done.
CBC for MP also done to rule put malaria.
Rapid card detection also can be used for malaria diagnosis.
If CBC showing leukocytosis with high neutrophil count then bacterial infection is the cause.
If lymphocytosis present viral etiology is there.
For viral fever symptomatic management done.
For bacterial infection antibiotic needed.
Maintain hydration with plenty of fluid.
Take fruit juice in between.
Mostly these will help in proper diagnosis of your condition.
Still query then ready to help you.
Don't worry.thanks
