What Could Cause Vaginal Discomfort In A 1 Years Old Child?

My 1 year old has recently been in antibiotics for a throat infection, however over the last day or so her bum and vagina are Red raw and she seems to be in discomfort, the only food she has had differently are home grown tomatoes, could the acid in these cause this or could it just be the virus coming out of her system, she also caught thrush in her mouth from the antibiotics and came out in a rash after using dactarin to clear this up. Thanks

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting with HCM. I feel she might be having antibiotic associated diarrhea. If there's no blood in motion..please do not worry. I suggest you start using zinc supplements and ORS. Hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help anytime. Feel free to consult at HCM whenever needed.
