What Could Cause Swelling, Tenderness Of Breast?

Hi. About a week ago my breasts have been really tender and warm. I really felt like they were producing milk, so I applied pressure and sure enough a white liquid came out of my nipple. I just had my period last week and have taken pregnancy tests which have all returned negative. My breast just feel really warm and swollen, but i don t feel any unusual lumps or bumps. Any ideas as to why this could be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it will be a beast. Other possibilities like fibrocystic disease also be considered. Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. An ultrasound scan is required to make a diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
