What Could Cause Swelling In One Foot/ankle ?

Could blood pressure be related to swelling in only one foot/ankle, or would past knee replacement be more likely cause? My blood pressure today was 128/81, pulse rate was 69. I have been having problems with my right foot and ankle being swollen recently. I had a total knee replacement on jan 15 2010. Is the blood pressure ok, and could the swelling in ankle and foot have anything to do with knee replacement. My sister in law felt my ankles for pulse, and said it seemed stronger in left ankle, maybe circulation wasn t good in right ankle. I no longer have medical insurance , so it s hard to afford seeing a dr. Thankyou.

General Surgeon Dr. Swapnendu Sekhar Ghosh's  Response
welcome to healthcaremagic
from the features as described the swelling may not be due to hypertension
it may be due to local factor like arthritis
if it is too much swollen with discolouration it may be due to some vascular problem
if it is painless it may be due to lymphaedemqa
without a clinical examination it is not possible to know your ailments
you need a consultation for proper treatment
