What Could Cause Stomach Pain During Menstrual Bleed?

Hello! I have bad menstrual cramps and bleeding for a while (fibroid) so I was told to take ibuprofen and it definitely helps with the bleeding mostly. But last month I got bad intestinal/stomach pain (not uterine cramps) higher in the stomach. So this month I decided to not take any ibuprofen thinking this may have caused the stomach upset. But I have the stomach pains anyway. What could this be? Endometriosis? Hormone problem?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Endometriosis can give such symptom. It is more possible if you have had C-section. Also ovaries cyst, ovaries inflammation can give pain with menses.
If your pain is in the upper middle abdomen, peptic ulcer and gallstones should be also considered.
Please consult your gynecologist, have transvaginal ultrasound, blood work, urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound and gastroscopy if ulcers are possible.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
