What Could Cause Stabbing Pain In Skull After Accidental Opening Of Cranial Sutures?

I took a bad fall earlier this year and literally cracked open the cranial sutures from my eye into the hairline - it s a narrow crack but is visible through my skin. Whenever I take a breath now, I can feel a stabbing pain in the back of my skull, essentially in a line with my eye. What could be causing this?

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and I glad to note that you did not have any major injury after the fall.

As of now, the healing is going on and you would improve soon. There could be an injury to the nerves on the scalp, which is responsible for your symptoms.

There is no need to worry about your symptoms.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
