What could cause sore muscle?

My dad has been bed ridden for 4 days now. Not eating at all only really thirsty. Weak and fatigued with very sore muscles. No temp, no nausea or diaharea ... went to GP and they gave him anti inflammotary tablets only. His face is drawn in and he is not himself. What do you think? Shall i take him to the hospital?

Hello,

The sore muscles can happen due to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, too much exercise or due to myalgia. You need to start with plenty of electrolyte-rich fluids and see if it helps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,

Hi I have muscle soreness which appeared 2 days ago for no reason - my physical behaviour has not changed over the last few weeks. It started in my heel for few days then 2 days ago I woke to find I could hardly get out of bed. My calf, thigh, upper back & neck muscles were very sore - like I d run a 50 kn marathon. Also my finger muscles nearest my palm, my upper & forearm muscles were very sore. As the day went on they improved but the next day (yesterday) I woke to find my forearms were extremely sore to the point where I cOuld not open the rear car door etc. Today is certainly an improvement but I d say I m only 3/10 all over. I don t have any other symptoms & I m never ever sick - no conditions of any kind. I m female & 49 years old. Would you have any idea what this could be please? Fi

Hi, this started suddenly yesterday... my legs felt exhausted and fatigued for know apparent reasons and today the muscles are sore, I have not done exercise or anything that I can think of that would cause this. I do not sleep well but, that is really the only thing that might contribute. What could be causing this?
