What Could Cause Sleeplessness, Increased Heart Rate And Stress After A Trip?

I am not sleeping much and im under a lot of stress due to a trip i am taking very soon from mexico to england and last night i had hot chocalete and donuts and then went to sleep at 11.30 pm then woke up at 4am with a very fast heart beat but my breathing was fine and i was relaxed so what caused the fast heart beat

Hello,am Dr Mahesh,general physician.So as you stated i think its your stress level seems high.Think what made you to get up at 4am.If you are allergic to some component of chocalate then check out.In your place i would have taken good amount of fluid and got rid of that stress.If sweting/pain is present or some kind of heavyness in chest then consult physician/nurse without any delay.
