What Could Cause Severe Pain In The Abdomen, Belching, Constipation, Bloating And Occasional Nausea In A 26-year-old?
Hello. I am 26 y.o. female with intermittent severe pain in my abdomen, belching, constipation, bloating and occasional nausea. I was told that i have gastritis two days ago and given Prevacid and metamizole. I have not improved during the two days after this diagnosis, and now I m not sure what to do. I can t sleep the pain is so severe.
Gastritis might take a while to go if it is viral gastritis it might take 5-7 days. I would advise you to go on with the treatment, make sure you do take a regular small amount of food and water and also avoid certain food like fast food, greasy food and coffee and alcohol during this time.
If you notice no improvement in a few days or you notice any worsening please see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
