Hi! I am a 68 year old woman. Generally in good health. The only medication I take is synthroid. I have excellent blood pressure. A few months I started noticing pain in the thigh area, after walking a short disrance. When I stop walking, the pain goes away.
This sounds like claudication--indicating a problem with the arterial flow in your leg. You need to let your doctor know about this so he can get arterial flow studies to see if there is a blockage and where it is. You may need arterial bypass surgery
