What Could Cause Light Spotting After Having Mirena IUD?

HI. I have a mirena IUD. I had a light period Oct 7th, nothing in November. I had sex on Dec 10 & 11 and had light spotting on in the morning for 3 days following. I have taken multiple pregnancy test and all negative. Could it just be from rougher sex then normal?

Hello,

Intermittent bleeding and spotting following sex are expected side effects of using Mirena IUD. Since your pregnancy test is negative, there is nothing to be worried about at this point.
