What Could Cause Left Hand Feeling Like Pins And Needles A Week After L5-S1 Disc Rupture And Series Of Steroid Injection?

I have had an MRI which indicated I had a L5-S1 disc rupture.I have had one series of steroid injection one week ago which has not worked. Today I noticed my left hand feels like pins and needles.is that a symptom of the rupture or something completely different?

a rupture of disc at L5-S1 should not affect your arms at all. i would think of some changes in the spine at the level of the neck
in a patient of my own, i would have screened the neck also using an xray or better still an mri

and probably you can talk to your doctor about starting you on pregabalin or gabapentin group of medicines
