What Could Cause Confusion, Feeling Of Squeezing Head And Memory Problems Post Head Injury?

Hi in the past 3 or 4 months I have had two head injuries that I had to go to A&E. One caused me to have memory loss but it came back and they did scans and I got the all clear after a night in monitoring me. Everything seemed fine but recently my head feels fuzzing as though there is pressure squeezing on my head. However this feeling isn t really painful it s just feels as though someone is squeezing my head but without the pain. Also I find it hard to remember things as what I did yesterday or I find myself trying to think of things or people that link to what I am thinking or talking about. I don t want to go into hospital if I don t have to, it s been like this for the past 3 to 5 days.

Hello,

The feeling of head pressure without pain and difficulty remembering things do indicate relation with post head injury consequences. Usually it is the area as Hippocampus and surrounding brain responsible for memory formation and recognition. As CT scan is not that sensitive for this issue, in my clinic I do recommend an MRI brain for the final diagnosis and cure accordingly.
