What Could Cause Bleeding And Lower Back Pain?

I am 75. I have had my uterus (I was born with 2 uterus Also, 2 Septums & surgery was done to remove the septum after I had been married 3 months. Did not know before, as I was a virgin ) both Ovaries out when I was 30 years old, due to Endometriosis and Fibrocystic cysts. A year ago I was told that I had a bladder infection, given antibiotics. Then went to a bladder doctor who scoped my bladder & kidneys. At that time after bleeding for 2 months, it had already stopped. Now yesterday, I felt like I had a tampax in and needed to come out. Late last night the bleeding had returned and all day today. A year ago I was told by GYN that I had Atrophy in my viginia and was started on Estrax once a week. Since I have no insides so to speak. Where is the bleeding coming from? I thought the last time it was coming from the bladder, now I think it is the vagina? The bladder doctor told me to call immediately if I had any more bleeding. I did not call him or my internist today. Not scared and each time I went to pee, it was not really bloody. Just a few times. I have low back pain and pain at the bottom of my belly. Just a low pain. I did have one child by C Section and several miscarriages due to the abnormal double uteri. Help?

Hello,
The bleeding could be any where from the vaginal vault, urethra or the anal region. At this age, there is gross atrophy or diminution of the lining epithelia everywhere and so slightest trauma can give rise to bleeding. Also, it should be kept in mind that this is the age for abnormal growths to occur more frequently. I think you should report to your urologist and also see your gynecologist to locate the cause of the bleeding. If it is due to the medication, it needs to be stopped and alternate ways sorted out. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
