What could cause a spot on the liver?

My significant other just returned from an mri evaluation of his lower back and kidneys. He s been having lower left sided back pain for a few months worse after power walking or standing on his feet. He s also had irregular urination from hardly any to too much, MRI shows spot on liver. All other tests have been negative. They want him to have a cat scan with injected dye. He s 68, thin. eats healthy and exercises. What could this be?

I recently had an MRI scan because of lower back and abdomin pain. I thought the diagnosis was going to be cysts on my overy/s (I had a hysterectomy 10yrs ago that left my overies). I was supprised when I received a telephone call to go to visit the doctors today. He said he was referring me to a liver specialist as the scan had shown up shadows on my liver. He said they were probably blood vessels but they needed to check. What could they be? About 15yrs ago I had jaundice and I was told that they had found a spot on my liver then but no treatment was needed as I was probably born with it.

I am 30 years old female non smoker. They found spot on my liver, spleen and lung nodule. The lung nodule is about 2.3cm. two days after the CT i had very sharp chest pain and had to go to emergency. The doctor said it could be pneumonia so i took two kinds of antibiotic for 15days and did another CT after i finished the antibiotics the nodule is still there. I also did bronchoscopy and the result came out negative for bacteria, virus and fungus. I will have another CT two month after. My life is very busy and stress full on top of that i am also worried about my medical condition. Could this be cancer? What is the possibility?

My Husband had a spiral CT scan done to detect cancer. A spot showed up in his lung and liver, he then had a PET scan done which only showed the lung spot. He had successful lung cancer surgery. Now the spot on the live has doubled. Because it was present but did not show up on the PET scan can we be optimisic that it is not cancer but something else?
