What Could Cause A Sharp Pain On The Neck?

Every now and then while I m talking to someone, I get a sharp stabbing pain in my neck and it seems to travel to my head. It s enough pain to take my breath away and bring tears to my eyes. It does not give me a headache, but the pain dulls and lasts for a bit. The last big episode besides last night was last July. I have had mini ones in between. Any insight into this?

Hi
Welcome to HCM

I feel you are having a problem called cervical radiculopathy which is a condition in which the nerves at your neck level is getting compressed between the neck bones. For confirmation you need a MRI cervical spine , even the scan will give an idea on how severe the condition is . The treatment depends on the severity of condition. Revert back after the scan .
